The Gramcian “long march” through the institutions has primarily been targeted at the public institutions of education. The imposition of Cultural Marxism to fundamentally transform society has been most effective when targeted against children, especially when done in such a way that parents are eschewed by either cloaking the true intent of the indoctrination or by the abandoning child-rearing to the state itself. “Social, economic, cultural and political frameworks of the readings are sometimes explored explicitly through eight critical lenses: feminist, deconstruction, new criticism, new historical/biographical, reader response, post-colonial, psychological and Marxist theory.”

Hello Hat!
Have you read John Taylor Gatto’s The Underground History of American Education? It’s very much a complimentary reference to the Gramscian/Frankfurt School information which you seem to be well versed in. If you don’t feel like buying another book right now, he has the whole thing available online for free at http://www.johntaylorgatto.com/ (specifically at this link – http://www.johntaylorgatto.com/chapters/index.htm ) in html format. It’s really quite a comprehensive book focused on the pernicious influences on our public education system.
