     The Progressive elite have always fancied themselves a neo-nobility<\/a> with an “egalitarian” bent similar to neo-feudalism.\u00a0 But who will be the ruling elite?\u00a0 Why, the hyper-rich adult-children of Silicon Valley<\/a>, of course.<\/p>\n

     What gives them real<\/em> power as opposed to trust-fund babies, racialist groups, unions, &c. is information<\/em> that tech companies have collected and can be used to steal<\/a> elections<\/a>,\u00a0 blackmail elected officials and others, and even manipulate<\/a> the very “reality” of a populace who is increasingly trusting a scant few tech companies to control what they see and hear.<\/p>\n

     Considering that people have given them the power to monitor<\/a> and control individuals to a degree that would have made George Orwell shake his head in disbelief, the power <\/a>of these new overlords is historically unprecedented.<\/p>\n

     At least the 19th<\/sup> Century “Robber Barons” didn’t engage in a totalitarian tracking and manipulation of every point in everyone’s life.<\/p>\n

     Sadly, it would seem that there are few avenues outside<\/a> of a dominating privacy-ensuring alternative to the current power structure somehow arising.<\/p>\n
