{"id":8911,"date":"2015-04-30T04:56:09","date_gmt":"2015-04-30T11:56:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/politicalhat.com\/?p=8911"},"modified":"2015-04-30T04:56:09","modified_gmt":"2015-04-30T11:56:09","slug":"quick-takes-biological-reality-is-a-lie-biology-wins-anyway-and-that-is-empirically-true","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2015\/04\/30\/quick-takes-biological-reality-is-a-lie-biology-wins-anyway-and-that-is-empirically-true\/","title":{"rendered":"Quick Takes &#8211; Biological Reality is a Lie, Biology Wins Anyway, and that is Empirically True"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Another \u201cquick takes\u201d on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The focus this time: You can&#8217;t fool mother nature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;First, a little mood music:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MbrIgaLHxnA\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Carrying on\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5372\" title=\"Eagle with Flag\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/EaglewithFlag.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"176\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Remember, a &#8220;trans-person&#8221; is <em>born that way<\/em> which is why they must be given a status of &#8220;more equal than others&#8221;, even though their being &#8220;trans&#8221; is just a <em>social construct<\/em> and can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/article\/416992\/university-warns-professors-their-students-genders-may-change-over-time-katherine\" target=\"_blank\">switch at random<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The University of Pittsburgh has released a set of &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/gsws.pitt.edu\/node\/1432\" target=\"_blank\">Gender-Inclusive\/Non-Sexist Language Guidelines and Resources<\/a>&#8216; informing instructors how they should be talking in their classrooms in order to not offend anyone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;One suggestion is to ask &#8216;students to write down preferred names and pronouns&#8217; on the first day while also keeping in mind that just because a student wanted a particular pronoun on the first day doesn\u2019t mean that he\/she\/they\/zi\/zie will always want that pronoun because &#8216;a person&#8217;s gender identity may change over time.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" title=\"Eagle Divider\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The thing is that for the vast majority of people, biology wins out.\u00a0 While pseudo-science gender studies propagandists declare that gender\/biological sex is irrelevant and that having two mommies is exactly like having both a mommy and a daddy (except where having to mommies is better), children will still <a href=\"http:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2015\/03\/17\/dear-gay-community-your-kids-are-hurting\/\" target=\"_blank\">yearn for a real father<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Growing up, and even into my 20s, I supported and advocated for gay marriage. It\u2019s only with some time and distance from my childhood that I\u2019m able to reflect on my experiences and recognize the long-term consequences that same-sex parenting had on me. And it\u2019s only now, as I watch my children loving and being loved by their father each day, that I can see the beauty and wisdom in traditional marriage and parenting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Same-sex marriage and parenting withholds either a mother or father from a child while telling him or her that it doesn\u2019t matter. That it\u2019s all the same. But it\u2019s not. A lot of us, a lot of your kids, are hurting. My father\u2019s absence created a huge hole in me, and I ached every day for a dad. I loved my mom\u2019s partner, but another mom could never have replaced the father I lost.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;I grew up surrounded by women who said they didn\u2019t need or want a man. Yet, as a little girl, I so desperately wanted a daddy. It is a strange and confusing thing to walk around with this deep-down unquenchable ache for a father, for a man, in a community that says that men are unnecessary. There were times I felt so angry with my dad for not being there for me, and then times I felt angry with myself for even wanting a father to begin with. There are parts of me that still grieve over that loss today.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" title=\"Eagle Divider\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;There is, however, some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/BL-REB-30165\" target=\"_blank\">good news<\/a> in this day and age.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;[W]hile America&#8217;s fertility rate slipped in 2013 to a record low, birth rates for married women are rising\u2014even as rates for unmarried women continue to fall.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;For every 1,000 unmarried U.S. women ages 15 to 44 in 2013, there were 44.3 births, down 2% from 2012 and 7% from 2010, CDC data show.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;In contrast to unmarried women, birth rates for married women increased 1% in 2013 from 2012 to 86.9 births. In fact, they&#8217;re up 3% since 2010, after declining 5% between 2007 and 2010.
