     According to the Associated Press<\/a>, you, dear reader, are a RAAACIST if you happen to be white. \u00a0According to the online<\/em> survey<\/a> taken by the AP, which purported to measure explicit<\/em> and implicit<\/em> racism:<\/p>\n

” In all, 51 percent of Americans now express explicit anti-black attitudes, compared with 48 percent in a similar 2008 survey. When measured by an implicit racial attitudes test, the number of Americans with anti-black sentiments jumped to 56 percent, up from 49 percent during the last presidential election. In both tests, the share of Americans expressing pro-black attitudes fell.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

     The AP also declared that “most Americans expressed anti-Hispanic sentiments, too. In an AP survey done in 2011, 52 percent of non-Hispanic whites expressed anti-Hispanic attitudes. That figure rose to 57 percent in the implicit test. The survey on Hispanics had no past data for comparison.”\u00a0 The racism, of course, is declared to be harbored by Republicans, who clearly would never support blacks like Allen West, Tim Scott, or Mia Love; or who would never support Hispanics like Brian Sandoval or Susan Martinez…<\/p>\n

     However, East Asian individuals were considered “neutral.”<\/p>\n

     This survey is the perfect example of bias confirmation, wherein the left declares that white people are necessarily<\/a> racist<\/a>, and then construct a survey to confirm their own bias.<\/p>\n

     For example, some of the questions asked are hardly racist at all, as S. Weasel<\/a> clearly shows:<\/p>\n

“So I tracked down the actual survey. It\u2019s a joint product of the University of Michigan, Stanford University and the University of Chicago. Here\u2019s the first question:<\/p>\n

“‘Irish, Italians, Jews, and other minorities overcame prejudice and worked their way up. Blacks should do the same without special favors.’<\/p>\n

“If you agree with that, you\u2019re scored as a racist.<\/p>\n

“Let that sink in a minute.<\/p>\n

“If you think black people are just as smart and capable as Irish, Italians and Jews, you\u2019re a racist. Phwaw. Ready? Question two:<\/p>\n

“‘Generations of slavery have created conditions that make it difficult for Blacks to work their way out of the lower class.’<\/p>\n

“Disagree with that, and you\u2019re a racist. So if you think someone\u2019s prospects are not blighted by something horrible that happened to his great-great-great grandparents, there\u2019s just no other explanation for it: you\u2019re a racist, sugar! The next three questions are pretty much variations on the \u201chard work = get ahead\u201d theme from the first question.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

     The “implicit<\/em>” part<\/a> of the survey is just as problematic:<\/p>\n

“What about ‘implicit racism’? Has anyone ever experienced this in real life? No–by definition, because if it is experienced, it’s no longer ‘implicit.’ Can we really infer anything from people’s feelings about “an image of a Chinese character”? (Logograph? Cartoon? The article doesn’t even say.) These tests ‘measure’ a phenomenon that may not even exist, much less be quantifiable. The notion of ‘implicit racism’ is a political opinion dressed up as a scientific hypothesis.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

     Rather then show bias against those who are black or Hispanic, these questions seem to indicate that people believe that those who are black and\/or Hispanic are capable<\/em> of success.\u00a0 Much like with their view of women, it is the Progressive left that is bigoted, and indeed, racist.<\/p>\n
