     Freshman Democrat member of Congress Robin Kelly wants to outlaw<\/a> all gun related<\/a> merchandise or political goods that are targeted to children.<\/p>\n

     This would effectively outlaw goods related to the NRA’s Eddie Eagle program that promotes gun safety, or their annual youth day.\u00a0 It would also ban any advertising or weapon aimed at persons under the age of 18.\u00a0 If a parent of guardian wants to teach their child how to shoot, then why is that such a problem, and why shouldn’t companies be able to cater to those parents needs.\u00a0 A day out shooting at a gun range can be good clean family fun.<\/p>\n

Admit it. This is cute.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

     While some may just make a parallel with cigarettes, the parallel is a false one.\u00a0 There is nothing wrong with a child being taught gun safety, or even using a gun legally.\u00a0 It would ban “youth-oriented colors” for firearms… so no more “Hello Kitty” Kalishnikovs<\/a>!\u00a0 Unlike with cigarettes, the right to keep and bear arms is a Constitutionally protected right.<\/p>\n

     The aim of the proposed bill is clear:\u00a0 To do whatever it takes to further the keeping of dissenting thoughts away from children so that all the children hear is anti-2nd<\/sup> Amendment propaganda.\u00a0 In other words, it seeks to demonize and denormalize firearms.<\/p>\n

     Prohibiting pro-2nd<\/sup> Amendment goods and messaging is also an attack on the 1st<\/sup> Amendment.\u00a0 But then, some people<\/em> just don’t like people exercising their fundamental rights in a way that deviates from what the anti-2nd<\/sup> Amendment crowd.<\/p>\n
