{"id":3650,"date":"2013-10-18T10:02:31","date_gmt":"2013-10-18T17:02:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/politicalhat.com\/?p=3650"},"modified":"2013-10-18T10:02:31","modified_gmt":"2013-10-18T17:02:31","slug":"anti-bullying-fail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2013\/10\/18\/anti-bullying-fail\/","title":{"rendered":"Anti-Bullying Fail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Real bullying is beyond contempt.\u00a0 Physically harming or psychologically harassing someone who just wants out ought to be stopped.\u00a0 It turns out, however, that anti-Bullying programs actually <a href=\"http:\/\/dfw.cbslocal.com\/2013\/10\/08\/are-anti-bullying-programs-having-an-opposite-effect\/\" target=\"_blank\">make bullying worse<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;University of Texas at Arlington criminologist Seokjin Jeong analyzed data collected from 7,000 students from all 50 states.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;He thought the results would be predictable and would show that anti-bullying programs curb bullying. Instead \u2014 he found the opposite.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Jeong said it was, &#8216;A very disappointing and a very surprising thing. Our anti-bullying programs, either intervention or prevention does not work.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The study concluded that students at schools with anti-bullying programs might actually be more likely to become a victim of bullying. It also found that students at schools with no bullying programs were less likely to become victims.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">No, it does not come as a surprise.\u00a0 The study concludes that anti-bullying programs &#8216;actually teach students different bullying techniques \u2014 and even educate about new ways to bully through social media and texting.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It goes far beyond that, though.\u00a0 A perfect example can be seen by the following &#8220;anti-bullying&#8221; commercial:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gPIlYdsLFe4\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The only &#8220;bullies&#8221; were the anti-bullying advocates.\u00a0 Wanting to have lunch amongst your friends, and those you have choose to, does not &#8220;bully&#8221; everyone else.\u00a0 Not interacting the way that &#8220;anti-bullying&#8221; advocates want is not bullying.\u00a0 On the contrary, we can see how &#8220;anti-bullying&#8221; programs can actually encourage people to &#8220;bully,&#8221; or perhaps more accurately <em>fight back<\/em>.\u00a0 If you are put upon and forced to be &#8220;friends&#8221; with people you don&#8217;t want to be friends with, you might very well build up resentment, or even outright hate.\u00a0 Perhaps <em>that<\/em> is the <em>real<\/em> reason why anti-bullying programs are such a pathetic failure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;If there is any more proof needed that the biggest bullies are &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2013\/07\/03\/who-are-the-real-bullies\/\" target=\"_blank\">anti-bullying<\/a>&#8221; advocates, the following video of &#8220;anti-bullying&#8221; and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=w8SOQEitsJI\" target=\"_blank\">anti-monogamy<\/a> advocate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/Breitbart-TV\/2012\/04\/28\/Anti-Bully-Savage-Bullies-Christians\" target=\"_blank\">Dan Savage<\/a> who basically acts like a bully:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ao0k9qDsOvs\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The hypocrisy is astounding.\u00a0 He justifies being a bully by pointing out that he is just bullying bullies, which is OK because bullies deserve to be bullied, completely ignoring the fact that he is being the very same type of bully he accuses others off.\u00a0 Yet again, the rabid Left are simply projections.\u00a0 The only justification is that some views and people are worthy of elevation and protection, while others are worthy only of contempt.\u00a0 An excellent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eBTpsVFhPPw\" target=\"_blank\">take-down<\/a> of Dan Savage can be found here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Much of the &#8220;anti-bullying&#8221; focus has been on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/camelswithhammers\/2012\/06\/why-the-needs-of-gay-kids-deserve-special-attention-in-anti-bullying-legislation\/\" target=\"_blank\">LGBTQ<\/a> kids.\u00a0 As has just been noted, the &#8220;anti-bullying&#8221; tactics will tend to encourage people to be resentful against those who have been raised to the position of special protection, and be given a privilege thereby.\u00a0 This is particularly true when those who don&#8217;t have that privilege are told that they are legitimate targets for criticism because &#8220;social justice&#8221; advocates say they are &#8220;privileged&#8221; just for being normal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The widdershins nature of bullying has resulted in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificjustice.org\/1\/post\/2013\/10\/nightmare-teen-boy-harasses-girls-in-their-bathroom-colo-school-tells-girls-they-have-no-rights.html\" target=\"_blank\">girls being force to use the restroom with boys<\/a> who declare they are girls.  Obviously the girls feel uncomfortable with a boy present while they do their business, and even feel harassed by the boy.  However, it is those girls who are declared the harassers because to admit the truth would be to <a href=\"http:\/\/theinterrobang.com\/2013\/09\/matthew-shepard-tortured-murdered-by-gay-lover\/\" target=\"_blank\">challenge the narrative<\/a> of LGBTQ = oppressed and Straight = oppressor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;In a truly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefrisky.com\/2013-10-11\/new-york-times-asks-if-teen-who-shot-lgbtq-classmate-was-bullied-by-flaunting\/\" target=\"_blank\">sad case<\/a>, a boy, who was publicly asked at school by a transvestite\/transgender student to be that boys valentine, ended up shooting the transvestite\/transgender student dead.  This is unquestionably horrendous.  It does raise the question, though, of whether the schools &#8220;anti-bullying&#8221; policy contributed to this lethal outcome?  The transvestite\/transgender student reportedly refused to take &#8220;NO&#8221; for an answer and bugged the straight boy and even followed him into the boys bathroom with impunity.  The school apparently did nothing to stop this harassment; it becomes now normal to blame the kid who is on the receiving end of harassment to be blamed for the harassment and to be further harassed by school officials for being &#8220;intolerance.&#8221;  With schools aiding and abetting harassment like this, is it any wonder that a boy who is harassed enough might snap?
