Buckley, Jr.\u2019s \u201cFiring Line\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The method of choosing our President is not a new one. Over two hundred years ago that method was changed as embodied by the 12<sup>th<\/sup> Amendment. Since then there have been many proposals, but none have gotten out of Congress to the states for consideration. Half-a-century ago the debate over Presidential power was as great as it is now, as the discussion over whether we <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcollections.hoover.org\/objects\/6390\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">should choose our Presidents differently<\/a> between William F.
