Indeed, the point is to cause pain \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/columnists\/kurtschlichter\/2017\/08\/28\/conservatism-is-not-a-suicide-pact-n2373543\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">forever<\/a>\u201d. It\u2019s no surprise, then, that in all irony, those who speak in martial terms of \u201cfighting\u201d now seek to punish their political enemies for \u201cfighting\u201d political rhetoric by launching an investigation the utterance \u201cYou have unleashed a whirlwind, and you will pay the price\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" align=\"center\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" align=\"center\">Did Senate Democrat leader Schumer just threaten two conservative justices? Where is the media? <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to tell you Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Gorsuch: You have unleashed a whirlwind, and you will pay the price\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/MellytNNp5\">pic.twitter.com\/MellytNNp5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Mark Meadows (@MarkMeadows) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarkMeadows\/status\/1235276076684840961?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 4, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Schumer should not be investigated for making a true threat or creating a \u00fee olde \u201cclear and present danger\u201d anymore than any of Trump\u2019s, or anyone else on the Right, heated rhetoric should lead to a similar investigation.
