The original LBJ-era \u201cAffirmative Action\u201d executive order has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/trump-rescinds-executive-order-11246\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rescinded<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt is being reported that President Trump has rescinded Executive Order 11,246, which has long required \u2018affirmative action\u2019 programs for companies doing contract work with the federal government. You can skip the first paragraph of this old NRO post and then read why this EO\u2019s notorious implementing regulations \u2014 which, one presumes and hopes, will vanish with the EO itself \u2014 are riddled with bad law and bad policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And so, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/trump-fires-all-government-dei-staffers-ends-affirmative-action-for-contractors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DEI offices<\/a> (the overt ones at least) are also to be gone:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cPaired with that is a memo from the Office of Personnel Management placing all DEI employees on leave and shutting down DEI programs and offices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018President Trump campaigned on ending the scourge of DEI from our federal government and returning America to a merit based society where people are hired based on their skills, not for the color of their skin. This is another win for Americans of all races, religions, and creeds. Promises made, promises kept,\u201d said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn addition to overturning affirmative action for contractors, Trump\u2019s executive order declares DEI illegal and advises corporations and federally funded universities to end all illegal discrimination, with DEI falling under that umbrella.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;To paraphrase the late Sonny Bono on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/trumps-mass-deportation-operation-begins-with-over-300-criminal-aliens-rounded-up-on-day-one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">illegal immigration<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s against the law, isn\u2019t it? Just enforce the law\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cU.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested at least 308 illegal immigrants on President Donald Trump\u2019s first full day in office, border czar Tom Homan announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOn Tuesday, immigration authorities began arresting hundreds of illegal immigrants who have committed violent crimes, including murder and rape.
