Media platforms, like radio and television, are encouraged but not required to participate in Ebony Alerts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018Today, California is taking bold and needed action to locate missing Black children and Black women in California. I want to thank the Governor for signing the Ebony Alert into law,\u2019 said Democrat Senator Steven Bradford, who authored the bill. \u2018Our Black children and young women are disproportionately represented on the lists of missing persons. This is heartbreaking and painful for so many families and a public crisis for our entire state. The Ebony Alert can change this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Just like the Left to try to in effect unionize <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campusreform.org\/article\/professor-tells-sex-worker-activist-start-mass-movement-part-childrens-liberation-vision\/23992\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">child prostitutes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cA university professor told a self-described \u2018sex worker activist\u2019 at the Socialism 2023 Conference in Chicago Sept. 2 to create a mass movement to ensure the rights of child sex workers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018A mass movement has a kind of persuasive value,\u2019 said Jules Gill-Peterson, a Johns Hopkins University history professor, according to audio captured by undercover journalist Karlyn Borysenko.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGill-Peterson continued, \u2018If you\u2019re part of a project trying to think about the young people\u2019s role in the sex industry \u2026 one of the ways you might feel like you\u2019re going to be able to lend time and energy to that effort is if it doesn\u2019t feel like you could be hung up to dry alone for it. Right?\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGill-Peterson had responded to a question from Chanel, who introduced herself as a sex worker activist \u201cworking at the intersection of migrants, justice, capitalism, and sex work,\u201d during the question-and-answer section of The Politics of Childhood panel. Gills-Peterson and Sophie Lewis, author of \u2018Abolish the Family: A Manifesto for Care and Liberation,\u2019 served as panelists of this session.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;At least some <a href=\"https:\/\/legalinsurrection.com\/2024\/07\/federal-appeals-court-rejects-transgender-challenge-to-tennessees-birth-certificate-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sanity<\/a> is to be had in the Sixth Circuit of Appeals<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn Tennessee, as in every state, each time a baby is born, a birth certificate is created that identifies its biological sex. But while certain changes\u2014e.g., a new name\u2014are allowed, the state \u201ctreats the sex listed on the birth certificate as a historical fact unchangeable by an individual\u2019s transition to a different gender identity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn other words, merely saying that you identify as the opposite sex doesn\u2019t require the State to make it so on your birth certificate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cA group of transgender plaintiffs whose sex listed on their birth certificate conflicted with their gender identity challenged the policy. They said it \u201cstigmatized\u201d them and increased the risk that they would suffer \u201cdiscrimination, distress, harassment or violence.\u201d The district court rejected their claims and they appealed to the Sixth Circuit, arguing that Tennessee\u2019s policy violated their constitutional rights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTo be clear, the plaintiffs weren\u2019t challenging the state\u2019s initial designation of sex on each birth certificate. They were challenging the State\u2019s amendment policy refusing to allow them to change that designation based on their say-so.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAnd in that regard, the court said, Tennessee\u2019s birth certificate policy treats applicants alike.
