We\u2019ve seen that pattern followed repeatedly in Netherlands \u2014 and now in Quebec, where authorities asked doctors to please, please, please, stay within the law, which is very loose already. From the CBC story:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018The memo reminds doctors of several guidelines, including that requests due to old age do not meet provincial criteria for the procedure, and an independent opinion from a second doctor isn\u2019t a formality \u2014 it\u2019s a requirement. Bureau said any deviation from the rules can be a slippery slope, especially as the commission is seeing an increasing number of requests for MAID.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt\u2019s just too ridiculous. The slippery slope is already slip-sliding away. This is precisely how it works.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And of course the Canadians <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/blogs\/canadian-euthanasia-doctor-gushes-about-how-much-she-enjoys-killing-people\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">love to kill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn the recently released BBC documentary Better Off Dead?, disability rights activist Liz Carr interviewed Dr. Ellen Wiebe, Canada\u2019s most notorious euthanasia doctor. Wiebe is also an abortionist and an activist with Dying With Dignity, the euthanasia lobby group seeking to expand eligibility for assisted suicide in Canada even further. Wiebe\u2019s attempted defence of Canada\u2019s euthanasia regime backfired when throughout her interview, she laughed and smiled as she discussed ending the lives of patients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018I love my job,\u2019 she told Carr. \u2018I\u2019ve always loved being a doctor and I delivered over 1,000 babies and I took care of families, but this is the very best work I\u2019ve ever done in the last seven years. And people ask me why, and I think well, doctors like grateful patients, and nobody is more grateful than my patients now and their families.\u2019 Her euthanasia patients, it must be noted, are dead. As one disturbed watcher noted on social media: \u2018Enjoying her job a little too much, I felt.\u2019 Many others concurred.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Not to be left out, the Dutch are hell bent on solving the mental illness crisis by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/society\/article\/2024\/may\/16\/dutch-woman-euthanasia-approval-grounds-of-mental-suffering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">killing off the mentally ill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cA 29-year-old Dutch woman who has been granted her request for assisted dying on the grounds of unbearable mental suffering is expected to end her life in the coming weeks, fuelling a debate across Europe over the issue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cZoraya ter Beek received the final approval last week for assisted dying after a three and a half year process under a law passed in the Netherlands in 2002.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cHer case has caused controversy as assisted dying for people with psychiatric illnesses in the Netherlands remains unusual, although the numbers are increasing.
