It seems that people tend to treat artists, writers, musicians, actors, &c. who opine on political matters as either going too far and in need of being reminded to stick to their creative lane, or not going far enough in denouncing\/supporting (as the case may be) one political question or another. This was just the debate that William F. Buckley, Jr. had with Robert Kuttner, Frank Donatelli, Martha Angle, and Hugh Kenner who asked what the political responsibility of artists<\/a> is?<\/p>\n
