The bill, passed on Friday by a vote of 57-16, was previously approved by the California Senate with a vote of 30-9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis new legislation, titled the Transgender, Gender-Diverse, and Intersex Youth Empowerment Act, seeks to prioritise the \u201chealth, safety and welfare\u201d of children, placing a spotlight on affirming a child&#8217;s gender identity. The bill, initially introduced by Democratic Assemblywoman Lori D. Wilson on February 24, underwent amendments in the Assembly on March 13 and further modifications in the Senate on June 5 before its final approval.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cUnder the proposed law, parents, who fail to acknowledge and support their child&#8217;s gender transition, could face potential consequences, including the loss of custody rights to another parent or even the state itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Why are they doing this?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Because parents are starting to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/california-mom-wins-100k-settlement-after-school-socially-transitioned-daughter-without-consent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fight back\u2026 and win<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cJessica Konen won a $100,000 judgment against the Spreckels Union School District in Monterey County, Calif., after they secretly \u2018socially transitioned\u2019 her daughter, permitting her to use the boy\u2019s bathroom and male pronouns without her knowledge or consent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018If you choose not to fight for your children, then they will fight and take your children,\u2019 Jessica Konen said in a statement following the ruling. \u2018Stand up parents, it\u2019s your right to be able to parent your own children.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cKonen\u2019s lawsuit, assisted by the conservative non-profit Center for American Liberty (CAL), argued that after Alicia joined the school\u2019s \u2018Equality Club\u2019 in Grade 6, she began learning \u2018LGBT concepts\u2019 as well as exploring transgenderism and bisexuality.
