But North Carolina is poised to reverse this on a <em>Constitutional<\/em> level with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncleg.gov\/BillLookup\/2023\/H614\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">H614<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Article I of the North Carolina Constitution is amended by adding a new section to read:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Sec. 39. Right to work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(1) The right to live includes the right to work. The exercise of the right to work must be protected and maintained free from undue restraints and coercion.
