Now, a letter published in a British Medical Journal publication reports that 10 percent of babies who died from 2016 to 2017 in Flanders \u2014 up to age one \u2014 were given drugs by their own doctors with \u2018an explicit life-shortening intention. In other words, they were euthanized, a.k.a., infanticide.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> Oh, the irony of the Supreme Court\u2019s ruling back in the 1990s about abortion resulting in <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/how-assisted-suicide-euthanized-roe-v-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aborted<\/a>, so as to speak.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBack in the \u201990s, the assisted-suicide movement tried to convince the Supreme Court to impose a Roe v. Wade\u2013style decision for their cause that would circumvent the democratic process by imposing doctor-hastened death as a constitutional right. (Full disclosure: I wrote and filed an amicus brief in the Supreme Court against that effort as a lawyer for the International Anti-Euthanasia Task Force, now the Patients Rights Council.) The effort failed, with the Supreme Court ruling 9\u20130 in Glucksberg v. Washington (1997) that there is no right to be found in the United States Constitution to assisted suicide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNow, in a turn that could not have been anticipated at the time, Glucksberg provided the primary precedent for striking down Roe as bad constitutional law! From Dobbs v. Jackson (my emphasis):<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely\u2014the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. That provision has been held to guarantee some rights that are not mentioned in the Constitution, but any such right must be \u2018deeply rooted in this Nation\u2019s history and tradition\u201d and \u201cimplicit in the concept of ordered liberty.\u2019 Washington v.
