Further, the new oath will be used for all Spring 2022 pharmacy school commencement ceremonies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018The joint committee led a critical charge of boldly expanding our professional oath to include the necessary elements of equity, inclusion, and diversity,\u2019 said Lakesha Butler, director of diversity, equity and inclusion at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy in a statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018The revised oath charges all pharmacists to take an active responsibility in promoting health equity and commit to being change agents in the system of pharmacy practice and beyond.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;With all this work for Social Justice, clearly there is <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/campus\/doctors-warn-new-medical-school-guidance-would-lead-to-unqualified-physicians-and-unscientific-medicine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no time in medical schools<\/a> for\u2026 medical competency or excellence in medicine!<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe two accrediting bodies for American medical schools now say that meritocracy is \u2018malignant\u2019 and that race has \u2018no genetic or scientific basis,\u2019 positions that many doctors worry will lower standards of care and endanger lives by discouraging vital genetic testing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe Liaison Committee on Medical Education, which accredits all medical schools in North America, is cosponsored by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC)\u2014the same groups that on Oct. 30 released a controversial guide to \u2018advancing health equity\u2019 through \u2018language, narrative, and concepts.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThose concepts include the ideas that \u2018individualism and meritocracy\u2019 are \u2018malignant narratives\u2019 that \u2018create harm,\u2019 that using race as a proxy for genetics \u2018leads directly to racial health inequities,\u2019 and that medical vulnerability is the \u2018result of socially created processes\u2019 rather than biology.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIntegrating these ideas into medicine, five professors and practicing doctors told the Washington Free Beacon, would be a catastrophe, resulting in underqualified doctors, missed diagnoses, and unscientific medical school curricula.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;TTFN.<\/p>\n<p><meta name=\"twitter:card\" content=\"summary\" \/><meta name=\"twitter:site\" content=\"@PoliticHatBlog\" \/><meta name=\"twitter:creator\" content=\"@ThePoliticalHat\" \/><meta name=\"twitter:title\" content=\"Diagnosis Woke: American Medical Association Embraces \u201cEquity\u201d;
