     One of the central tenets of Leftist thought when it comes to \u201cgender\u201d can be found in Critical Theory, namely the believe that, in the case of \u201cgender\u201d, cis-heteronormativity (i.e.<\/em> dudes who know they are dudes and like chicks or chicks who know they are chicks and like dudes) is an oppressive social construct, and that the only way to counter this is to denormalize \u201ccis-heteronormativity\u201d by declaring it false and ephemeral while declaring \u201ctrans\u201d and \u201cqueer\u201d gender\/sexuality to be the antithesis to the cis-heteronormative thesis, with the counter to an alleged false \u201cessence\u201d being a contrarian \u201cidentity\u201d that serves as an \u201cAufhebung<\/a>\u201d that allows the immanentization of a gender eschaton.<\/p>\n

     This can be seen, in practice, by banning<\/a> \u201cconversion therapies\u201d that seek to convince \u201ctrans\u201d kids that they really are \u201ccis\u201d, something that is true in the vast majority of cases where gender dysmorphia doesn\u2019t persist past childhood<\/a>. \u00a0 Even openly suggesting that a \u201ctrans\u201d kid might actually be \u201ccis\u201d is derided<\/a> because \u201ctransitioning\u201d must<\/em> be a one-way street<\/a>, \u2018twould seem, especially in Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n

     Now Canada has made \u201cconverstion therapy\u201d illegal, but only if you are trying to make a trans or queer person cis or straight<\/em>, meaning that conversion therapy to groom a person<\/a> into the LGBTQ&c. collective is completely legal in Canada! The key operative section in Canada\u2019s new legislation reads<\/a>:<\/p>\n

320.\u200d101\u2002In sections 320.\u200d102 to 320.\u200d104, conversion therapy means a practice, treatment or service designed to<\/p>\n

(a)\u2002change a person\u2019s sexual orientation to heterosexual;<\/p>\n

(b)\u2002change a person\u2019s gender identity to cisgender;<\/p>\n

(c)\u2002change a person\u2019s gender expression so that it conforms to the sex assigned to the person at birth;<\/p>\n

(d)\u2002repress or reduce non-heterosexual attraction or sexual behaviour;<\/p>\n

(e)\u2002repress a person\u2019s non-cisgender gender identity; or<\/p>\n

(f)\u2002repress or reduce a person\u2019s gender expression that does not conform to the sex assigned to the person at birth.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

     Note that this is banned even if the person wants to embrace being \u201ccis\u201d or straight<\/em>!<\/p>\n

     And if you defy this ban, you will go to jail<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n

Conversion therapy<\/p>\n

320.\u200d102\u2002Everyone who knowingly causes another person to undergo conversion therapy \u2014 including by providing conversion therapy to that other person \u2014 is<\/p>\n

(a)\u2002guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than five years; or<\/p>\n

(b)\u2002guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.<\/p>\n

Promoting or advertising<\/p>\n

320.\u200d103\u2002Everyone who knowingly promotes or advertises conversion therapy is<\/p>\n

(a)\u2002guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than two years; or<\/p>\n

(b)\u2002guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.<\/p>\n

Material benefit<\/p>\n

320.\u200d104\u2002Everyone who receives a financial or other material benefit, knowing that it is obtained or derived directly or indirectly from the provision of conversion therapy, is<\/p>\n

(a)\u2002guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than two years; or<\/p>\n

(b)\u2002guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

     Why such a stiff sentence for trying to do what is claimed to be impossible: Making a gay person straight or a transgender person cisgendered? The only people this legislation protects is those who groom the vulnerable.<\/p>\n

     Oh, and advertisements for \u201cconversion therapy\u201d is now legally equivalent to child pornography in many respects.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cIf the court is satisfied, on a balance of probabilities, that the publication, representation, written material or recording referred to in subsection (1) is obscene, child pornography, a voyeuristic recording, an intimate image, an advertisement of sexual services or an advertisement for conversion therapy, it may make an order declaring the matter forfeited to Her Majesty in right of the province in which the proceedings take place, for disposal as the Attorney General may direct.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
