One of the popular stereotypes of the far Left was that of rabid revolutionaries, hippies, or counter-cultural freaks. They were the obvious dangers. Those who cleaned up, put on a suit, and went to work were seen as \u201csell-outs\u201d and the joke was that they were \u201ctaking down the system from the inside\u201d.<\/p>\n
It seems that that isn\u2019t<\/a> a joke<\/a> anymore.<\/p>\n \u201cBlackRock Inc BLK.N, Exxon Mobil Corp’s XOM.N second largest shareholder, has voted for three of four director candidates nominated by hedge fund Engine No. 1, contrary to the oil company’s advice, people familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n \u201cBlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has a 6.7% stake in Exxon, according to the company’s proxy. Its vote signals investors have grown much more serious about fighting climate change, adding pressure to Exxon and other oil companies.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n What is frightening is that many of the votes for this likely came from your<\/em> retirements investments and funds. Most people when they invest or have money put away via<\/em> a pension fund, 401(k), or IRA don\u2019t actually pay attention to the companies being invested, but fewer people pay attention to the vote that goes along with that equity in common stock with said company. It only takes a hypermotivated few<\/a> to take control<\/a> of these huge companies. That this was done successfully by woke investors should be a warning to everyone.<\/p>\n This is not<\/em> a case of big evil corporations ruling over the \u201clittle person\u201d thus justifying increasing state control, because this is a case of centralized control already happening. Specifically, this is corporatism<\/em> properly understood: The enlightened thought leaders managing society and coordinating the individual sectors of society towards a greater good, from which all are supposed to benefit. To wit, this is textbook fascism<\/em>, and in this case literal eco-fascism<\/em>. It may not be under de jure<\/em> state control, but de facto<\/em> it is just one of the hydra<\/a> heads of the Left.<\/p>\n Oh, and BlackRock is also buying up housing<\/a> because home ownership is unwoke or something. \u00a0 Easier to affirmatively further fair housing<\/em> when people don\u2019t have an equity stake<\/a> in their homes.<\/p>\n People need to pay attention and realize that even though everything shouldn\u2019t be political, the Left has made it so, and if you are going to \u201cbe made to care\u201d regardless, then best to get a head start and begin fighting back.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" One of the popular stereotypes of the far Left was that of rabid revolutionaries, hippies, or counter-cultural freaks.
