     Scotland has once again embraced its status as the incubator of totalitarian lunacy by threatening people for expressing doubleplusungood thoughts in their own home. \u00a0 The so-called \u201cHate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Bill<\/a>\u201d, which already targets journalists and even theater performances that would, if it\u2019s sponsor gets his way, eliminate the \u201cdwelling defense<\/a>\u201d to protect a house hold from its own speech!<\/p>\n

\u201cMr Yousaf said that there should be no \u2018dwelling defence\u2019 in his bill. He told the Scottish parliament\u2019s justice committee that children, family and house guests must be protected from hate speech. He told MSPs: \u2018Are we comfortable giving a defence to somebody whose behaviour is threatening or abusive which is intentionally stirring up hatred against, for example, Muslims? Are we saying that that is justified because that is in the home? \u2026 If your intention was to stir up hatred against Jews \u2026 then I think that deserves criminal sanction.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cMr Yousaf said theatre directors and journalists should not be exempt from the bill, to prevent activists stoking tensions under the cloak of dramatic licence or freedom of expression. He said: \u2018We wouldn\u2019t want to give the likes of Tommy Robinson a defence by saying that he\u2019s \u201ca blogger who writes for The Patriot Times so my reasonable defence is that I am a journalist\u201d.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

     That individuals are being singled out as examples of reasons to abridge the fundamental human rights of others is beyond obnoxious. That this bill could set children up as potential informants to the state to \u201crat out\u201d their parents or their parents\u2019 guests, is reminiscent of so many other totalitarian hellholes.<\/p>\n

     Admittedly, this isn\u2019t going full \u201cBig Brother\u201d because a person who lives alone could utter banned utterances if they are uttered quietly enough because said person isn\u2019t being actively monitored 24.7\u2026 yet.<\/p>\n

     Here is the sponsor, Mr. Yousaf, explaining that preventing people from expressing an opinion in private that might change another persons mind which could maybe<\/em> contribute to someone committing a \u201chate crime\u201d is worth eliminating private-practice freedom.<\/p>\n
