     The social sciences can readily be abused by those who wish to push an agenda<\/a>, and often such work is less “science” than bias confirmation.\u00a0 When doctors and other such professionals allow their reputation to be a servant for their political biases, it is particularly pernicious.\u00a0 The American Academy of Pediatrics has now gone on record<\/a> that gay marriage is fabulous<\/em>:<\/p>\n

“The academy believes that a two-parent marriage is best equipped to provide that kind of environment. Their policy says that if a child has two gay parents who choose to marry, ‘it is in the best interests of their children that legal and social institutions allow and support them to do so.'”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

     Their insistence on two<\/strong> parents seems a bit odd.\u00a0 If the sex of the parent is irrelevant, than why is the number two so important?\u00a0 The basis of two stems from a child being the result of a sexual union between two persons, specifically a male and a female.\u00a0 What “scientific” basis is there for this duonormative<\/em> value if the biological basis of reproduction via a man and a woman is irrelevant?<\/p>\n

     Despite the claims to the contrary, there is much<\/a> evidence<\/a> that having both<\/em> a mother and<\/em> a father are key to a stable family and a successful future. \u00a0An Amici Curi\u00e6<\/em> submitted to the Supreme Court case Hollingsworth v. Perry<\/em>, outlines this succinctly:<\/p>\n
