{"id":16907,"date":"2020-08-12T19:29:44","date_gmt":"2020-08-13T02:29:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/politicalhat.com\/?p=16907"},"modified":"2020-08-12T19:29:44","modified_gmt":"2020-08-13T02:29:44","slug":"praxis-seattles-marxist-abolition-of-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2020\/08\/12\/praxis-seattles-marxist-abolition-of-police\/","title":{"rendered":"Praxis: Seattle&#8217;s Marxist Abolition of Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;So, Seattle, not one to let Minneapolis run to its Left, is moving to <a href=\"https:\/\/christopherrufo.com\/seattle-city-council-moves-to-abolish-the-police\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">abolish its police department<\/a> because it is the faunt of \u201cracism and violence\u201d to supprot \u201cwhite supremacy culture\u201d, and instead institute a \u201ccivilian led Department of Community Safety &amp; Violence Prevention\u201d\u2026 in other words a type of committee of public safety!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Specifically the <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">city council<\/span> <em>Seattle Soviet<\/em> demands that \u201cSeattle\u201d become \u201cdeccriminalized\u201d and replace the police with:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cCulturally-relevant expertise rooted in community connections\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cHousing, food security, and other basic needs\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cTrauma-informed, gender-affirming, anti-racist praxis\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Note the use of the Marxist term \u201cpraxis\u201d, which is a dead give-away of the ironically very, very White basis of the Seattle City Council\u2019s thinking. Unlike \u201cracism\u201d, \u201cjustice\u2019, <em>et al<\/em>., \u201cpraxis\u201d is very much an alien term to anyone who isn\u2019t versed in radical Leftism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/PR_Praxis-Makes-Perfect_Praxis-wheel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"361\" height=\"368\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16908\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/PR_Praxis-Makes-Perfect_Praxis-wheel.jpg 1445w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/PR_Praxis-Makes-Perfect_Praxis-wheel-294x300.jpg 294w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/PR_Praxis-Makes-Perfect_Praxis-wheel-1005x1024.jpg 1005w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/PR_Praxis-Makes-Perfect_Praxis-wheel-768x783.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 361px) 100vw, 361px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Even your humble author is shocked by how unassumingly a major city of the United States is declaring its institutional privilege, institutional power, and institutional governance\u2014as declared by the word &#8220;Praxis&#8221;\u2014is to be concentrated towards an outright attack against every fiber, essence, and element of the United States in such a way as to make the Constitution&#8217;s Treason Clause seem less like a reasonable, though radical at the time, restriction, and more like a moral imperative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The blatant Marxism goes further:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAnd finally, the plan demands that the City conduct an \u2018immediate transfer of underutilized public land for BIPOC community ownership\u2019\u2014in essence, the redistribution of land, which is a hallmark of Marxist regimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This is in lock-step with the demands to \u201c[d]ecriminalize Seattle and King County Equity Now\u201d (note again, the use of \u201cequity\u201d as a justification for perpetual racial discrimination, perpetual racial animus, and perpetual racial hate).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p  style=\"   margin: 12px auto 6px auto;
