However in reality, the actual response is far more insidious. In reality, when everything is racist, just as when everything is a crime, actual enforcement based on what is convenient at the time, and who is chosen as the villain du jour is based on whoever just happens to seem useful at the time. This is, of course, antithetical to the idea of equal treatment under the law, but when everyone is a criminal, enforcement will always be discriminatory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Nothing is innocuous or innocent. It is all a question of if you bring the attention of those with <em>actual<\/em> institutional privilege and <em>actual<\/em> institutional power to yo or not. Beria\u2019s quip about if you find him the person he will find you the crime is quite salient and frighteningly true. A simple accusation does not need to establish guilt, as guilt is assumed regardless of accusation\u2026 only prosecution of guilt is the open question of \u201cwho\u2019s next?\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16441\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/thats-racist.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"268\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;One of the recent examples of presumed acts of racism to be prosecuted in the realm of wokeness is the phrase \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/alexcorey\/2020\/07\/03\/california-charter-school-system-to-remove-work-hard-be-niceas-its-official-slogan-n2571784\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Work hard. Be Nice<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cYes, working hard and being nice is now a hallmark of White Supremacy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOn Wednesday the charter school organization The Knowledge is Power Program, commonly know as KIPP, announced that it will be retiring the slogan \u2018Work hard. Be Nice.\u2019 as school officials believe the phrase is counterproductive to abolishing systemic racism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cRichard Barth, KIPP Foundation CEO, said in a press release that after a letter from KIPP Co-Founder Dave Levin about the ways in which the organization can change its culture, he decided to axe the slogan as it \u2018diminishes the significant effort required to dismantle systemic racism.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018Over the last few weeks, we have all been working hard to turn words into action, recognizing that there is still much more work to be done to eliminate any practice at KIPP that furthers systemic racism, anti-Blackness, and inequities experienced by our students, alumni, families, teachers, and staff,\u2019 said Barth.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"  align=\"center\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" align=\"center\">A few weeks ago, Dave sent a letter to all KIPP alumni, and I shared my thoughts with all KIPP staff; both acknowledged the ways in which the school and organizational culture we built and how some of our practices perpetuated white supremacy and anti-Blackness. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UsgWn5AW7R\">pic.twitter.com\/UsgWn5AW7R<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; KIPP Schools (@KIPP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KIPP\/status\/1278419684438749190?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 1, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Being against racism is not being \u201canti-racist\u201d.
