{"id":16701,"date":"2020-06-22T00:12:42","date_gmt":"2020-06-22T07:12:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/politicalhat.com\/?p=16701"},"modified":"2020-06-22T00:18:35","modified_gmt":"2020-06-22T07:18:35","slug":"systemic-oppression-mandatory-allyship-and-the-march-through-the-institutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2020\/06\/22\/systemic-oppression-mandatory-allyship-and-the-march-through-the-institutions\/","title":{"rendered":"Systemic Oppression, Mandatory Allyship, and the March Through the Institutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16703\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/The-Fall-of-The-Western-Roman-Empire.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/The-Fall-of-The-Western-Roman-Empire.jpg 540w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/The-Fall-of-The-Western-Roman-Empire-300x178.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;For many, the riots, revolutionaries, and cultural iconoclasts that seemed to come out of nowhere and have been met without any resistance are either a bit of temporary madness that affects someone else (which somehow the communities of those many are somehow immune to), or somehow an example of how the Left could<i> only win<\/i> because cowards on the right preemptively surrender.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Neither of those views, however, bear any semblance of reality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Both of these views assume that the sense of \u201cnormalcy\u201d that such view-holders have is indeed the framework upon which American society firmly sits, and the consequence of that view leads to either the expectation that \u201cit couldn\u2019t happen here\u201d or that it can only \u201chappen here\u201d due to preemptive surrender. Neither view considers that the groundwork by the Left hasn\u2019t already rotted the <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2013\/02\/01\/pillars-of-society\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pillars of society<\/a> and instituted a framework<i> sub rosa <\/i>conducive towards the Left\u2019s beliefs and ethos, leaving only a superficial shell ready to be replaced be a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2017\/07\/10\/the-queen-of-diamonds-and-the-fundamental-inversion-of-base-superstructure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new normalcy<\/a>\u201d custom fit for the new framework.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;There is no better demonstration of this fundamental change that so many are blind to, including those who now wholly agree with the new way of thinking, than the <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2017\/06\/21\/buggy-whips-of-reason\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">redefinition of fundamental terms<\/a> and double-meaning of slogans. For example, to many, \u201cman\u201d still refers to a biological male and that gender is a synonym for biological sex; but for increasingly \u201cgender\u201d is defined as an \u201cidentity\u201d that is separate and district from biological sex (which is now considered a spectrum or even nonexistent as a category) and that insisting that a \u201ctrans-woman\u201d is a \u201cman\u201d is pure ignorance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Such is also an example of what racism means. The term \u201cracism\u201d means, though increasingly rarely, the idea that one race is superior to another and the assorted actions and behavior thereof. However, the \u201cacademic\u201d definition of racism is a combination of not only a belief in racial superiority\/animus, but also of being in a \u201cposition of power\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;White people, for example, have the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/neontaster\/status\/1274720561206263813\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">unsrivable<\/a> sin of \u201cWhiteness\u201d and can only be tolerated if they actively destroy this \u201cWhiteness\u201d that somehow flows through them like the Dark Side of the Force.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" align=\"center\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" align=\"center\">This is quite literally Original Sin for social politics. No Tabula Rasa. You&#39;re born a &quot;bad white&quot; and need to actively follow certain rules in order to be a &quot;good white.&quot; You think terms like &quot;the religion of social justice&quot; is hyperbole until you read this in the NY Times. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/B03qlnyPqS\">pic.twitter.com\/B03qlnyPqS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; neontaster (@neontaster) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/neontaster\/status\/1274720561206263813?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 21, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This is where \u201callyship\u201d comes in. Oh, not being an ally to individuals, but an ally to identity groups and to the Leftist ideology that exploits the same. It does not erase the original sin of \u201cWhiteness\u201d (or more intersectionally the sings of \u201ccis-nomativity\u201d, being straight, being a biological male, &amp;c.), but it provides temporary protection and perhaps a bit more than others, like a \u201cHouse Slave\u201d in the antebellum South <i>vis-\u00e0-vis<\/i> the slaves in the field. And yes, this parallel is quite ironic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This, in effect, means that <i>only and all<\/i> White people are racist because of the belief that Western Civilization is <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2013\/01\/30\/kyriarchy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fundamentally<\/a> about racial oppression, discrimination, and slavery. This is what is generally referred in one permutation or another to as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Societal_racism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">structural racism<\/a>\u201d (a \u201cformalization of a set of institutional, historical, cultural, and interpersonal practices within a society that\u201d effects racism), \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Institutional_racism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">institutional racism<\/a>\u201d (A \u201cform of racism which is embedded as normal practice within society or an organization.\u201d), and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thoughtco.com\/systemic-racism-3026565\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">systemic racism<\/a>\u201d (\u201c[A] claim that the United States was founded as a racist society, that racism is thus embedded in all social institutions, structures, and social relations within our society.\u201d).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It thus becomes a sacrosanct article of faith, then, that America was founded upon racism, with the consequence that racism can not be removed from America, with the only option left being to reject America and build up a \u201cnon-racist\u201d society in opposition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;However, most people don\u2019t understand this difference and distinction between definitions of racism and what racism means when modified by the adjectives systemic, institutional, or structural, and the Left take full advantage of this through a dishonest con involving a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Motte-and-bailey_fallacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Motte &amp; Bailey fallacy<\/a>. If you say you do not believe in <i>systemic racism<\/i> (the Bailey), then you are said to deny <i>any racism<\/i> (the Motte); <i>vice versa<\/i> if you want to avoid being seen as supporting <i>any racism<\/i> you are forced to accept that America (and Western Civilization at large) is <i>systemically racist <\/i>thus requiring one to be in opposition to American\/Western culture and society\u2026 all to avoid the appellation of \u201cracist\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;To the Left, <a href=\"https:\/\/spectator.us\/anti-racism-really-means-debate-white-fragility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">opposing racism means opposing America<\/a>, and Western Civilization more broadly. Racism, then is defined as <i>not opposing America<\/i>, while anti-racism is defined as opposition <i>systemic racism<\/i>, which is \u201cthe <i>ordinary <\/i>state of affairs\u201d in America, and thus an opposition to everything that America (and Western Civilization, more broadly) is and stands for.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Denying the existence of <i>systemic<\/i> racism (<i>i<\/i>.<i>e<\/i>. the belief that America was founded on racism and is fundamentally racist with said racism being the core being of America), means you are definitionally supporting racism. To put it another way, you are either with them, or against them. You are either support \u201cracism\u201d or you are an \u201canti-racist\u201d who supports the integral racism of the status quo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;All this did not just suddenly pop into existence. The reason that no one stopped this is because almost no one saw what was happening, because rather than a direct assault, the very fundamental precepts of society, which had been taken for granted and not given a second look, were replaced slowly over time with care taken to not change the appearance of the superficial edifice\u2026 until everything was in place and the superficially radical change erected and fitting perfectly into the new precepts of society. It\u2019s not that \u201ccuckservatives\u201d preemptively surrendered like cowards or to be invited to \u201ccocktail parties\u201d or \u201ccruises\u201d, it was the recognition that in reality it was no longer a matter of defeating the <i>status quo<\/i> from an attacking enemy, it was about trying to stop the <b>new<\/b> <i>status quo<\/i>, either trying to stop its cancerous spread or trying to lay a groundwork for reversal. Because of the nature of this change, the idea that \u201cit couldn\u2019t happen\u201d here ought to be dismissed as dangerous, for when the <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2017\/07\/10\/the-queen-of-diamonds-and-the-fundamental-inversion-of-base-superstructure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Red Queen<\/a> is shown, many, if not most, of those one considered their ideological allies will accept the new way of things and think you backwards if not evil for not going along.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The evidence of just how prevalent this new \u201cwokeness\u201d is, and how easily it has wormed <i>sub rosa<\/i> into the institutions <i>via<\/i> \u00fee olde <a href=\"https:\/\/panampost.com\/editor\/2020\/06\/18\/gramsci-joker-protests-usa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gramscian march<\/a> is increasingly manifest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It isn\u2019t even just the usual suspects, such as the Martin Luther King, Jr. County <a href=\"https:\/\/komonews.com\/news\/local\/mlk-labor-council-votes-to-cut-ties-with-seattle-police-officers-guild\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">labor council purging themselves of the police union<\/a>, Michigan State University purging Vice-President of Research for <a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2020\/06\/21\/michigan-state-university-vp-of-research-ousted-because-of-his-past-scientific-statements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">politically incorrect scientific statements<\/a> made in the past, or a student newspaper purging <a href=\"https:\/\/legalinsurrection.com\/2020\/06\/student-newspaper-at-syracuse-u-fires-columnist-for-calling-institutional-racism-a-myth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">unbelievers who deny \u201csystemic racism\u201d<\/a>. Even the long decline of the Boy Scouts has resulted in <i>mandating<\/i> that <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20200619180333\/https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/columns\/tyler-o-neil\/2020\/06\/18\/boy-scouts-launches-black-lives-matter-overhaul-complete-with-new-eagle-mandatory-badge-n551990\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">scouts get a badge for wokeness<\/a> as a prerequisite for becoming and Eagle Scout.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Anyone associated with sports will be made to atone for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ThePoliticalHat\/status\/1273101748006248448\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">failing to endorse \u201canti-racism\u201d<\/a>. County health boards are not <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kiro7.com\/news\/local\/king-county-board-health-passes-resolution-declaring-racism-public-health-crisis\/L27IQPLEFZFBTDM7GSCVM4RFDY\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">declaring racism to be a \u201cpublic health crisis\u201d<\/a> as if people with incorrect thinking are mentally ill or that America itself is the equivalent of a plague. We even see professional organizations and publications for the <a href=\"https:\/\/cen.acs.org\/policy\/CEN-stands-solidarity-communities-color\/98\/i22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sciences<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/legalinsurrection.com\/2020\/06\/popular-mechanics-publishes-instructions-on-how-to-take-down-statues-using-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">engineering<\/a> declare solidarity against \u201csystemic racism\u201d or even offer advise on taking down politically incorrect monuments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;These slogans and terms are not so much <i>merely<\/i> an Orwellian redefinition of the language, but have become <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Gypsytits1\/status\/1273640598357057537\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shibboleths<\/a>. #BlackLivesMatter is another example of a Motte &amp; Bailey fallacy forcing people to either obey or be <a href=\"https:\/\/legalinsurrection.com\/2020\/06\/vermont-school-principal-placed-on-leave-for-criticism-of-black-lives-matter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">unpersoned<\/a>. If you don\u2019t agree with the movement and organizational goals of Black Lives Matter (the Bailey), then you are condemned as not believing that the lives of any Black person matters (the Motte).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This is an example of yet <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2013\/08\/09\/the-manichean-meta-narrative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">another fallacy employed by the Left<\/a>: The <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/False_dilemma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">false dilemma fallacy<\/a>, whereby one must either stand with the designated evil or stand with those who declare themselves the enemy of the designated evil. In other words, you either stand for \u201cracism\u201d or stand with the \u201canti-racist\u201d destruction of America.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This isn\u2019t just some mere anti-Americanism; it is <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AviWoolf\/status\/1274830464134664194\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">religious zealotry<\/a>, and the institutions marched through by the Gramscians are now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/rise-of-woke-schools\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this new faith\u2019s churches<\/a>, with all that comes from them being <a href=\"https:\/\/newdiscourses.com\/2020\/06\/iconoclasm-prelude-woke-horrors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">catechisms of a secular faith<\/a>, all of which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/politics\/ny-truth-reconciliation-south-africa-bill-de-blasio-20200621-w2un3v667rb2ld7hqqjw75vgiu-story.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">justify anything and everything<\/a> that may come. And <a href=\"https:\/\/turtleboysports.com\/customer-gets-banned-from-swampscott-restaurant-for-talking-about-blm-for-their-support-of-killing-cops-bartender-who-spied-on-him-and-shamed-him-on-facebook-is-praised\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the inquisitors will be everywhere<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" align=\"center\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" align=\"center\">Guys, stop thinking about this iconoclasm as some rational reckoning with the past and start thinking about it like a religious movement aiming to remove sin and impurity. This was a \u201cheads we win, tails you lose\u201d scenario: If one opposed removing the statues on the correct belief that the modern-day iconoclasts wouldn\u2019t stop there, then the evils represented by the Confederate monuments would be conflated with <i>all<\/i> monuments to American history and even Western Civilization; but if one allowed the removal of Confederate statues, then it made it that easier to remove <i>any <\/i>statue by slowly increasing the degrees of abhorrence to the point where memorials to abolitionists who stood against slavery are considered to protect the status quo of <i>inherently racist<\/i> America by portraying <i>any part<\/i> of America\u2019s history as anything but pure distilled evil.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;>To a large degree the problem isn\u2019t due to lack of fighting, but due to lack of narrative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" align=\"center\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" align=\"center\">Too much of the populist Right seems to think you can fight something with nothing; that it&#39;s enough to just say &quot;no.&quot; But you can&#39;t.
