He is among the rising number of people known as \u2018detransitioners,\u2019 having identified as transgender for over a decade. Fitz lived a “mostly stealth” life and frequently lied to coworkers, neighbors and new friends about his biological sex.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNow suffering from a host of medical complications as a result of years of hormone treatment, including phantom pain in his groin and bouts of severe depression, he is five years into his detransition journey and is reintegrating with his anatomically male body.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> <!--more-->As more and more vulnerable youths are tricked into self-mutilation, the more and more important it will be to hear from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2020\/02\/10\/my-new-life-after-transgender-despair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">those who suffered before them<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLast December, I received an early Christmas present that I would have rejected just one year earlier: an \u2018M\u2019 for \u2018male\u2019 on my driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe switch back to male marked the end of a long journey of gender confusion and self-deception. Along the way I became a transgender activist and then America\u2019s first legally non-binary person.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBy Christmas Eve 2019, I was done with the lies. By God\u2019s grace, a Portland judge granted my petition to legally restore my sex to male.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis has been a five-year ordeal. I first rose to become a transgender activist in 2015, telling The New York Times: \u2018I now live in a world where radical, conservative politicians and religious groups routinely attack my very existence with legislation to deny me basic human rights such as a bathroom that matches my gender-identity.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNew to identifying as a woman at that stage of my life, but indoctrinated by the peddlers of transgender ideology to believe I was one, I incorrectly believed that gaining access to female bathrooms was a human rights issue for me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI was wrong. In hindsight, it was all part of a selfish quest to nourish my long-held sexual fantasy of being a woman\u2014a mental disorder called autogynephilia.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"> This nouveau madness of transgenderism doesn\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/investigating-the-international-guidelines-for-transgender-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arise<\/a> from poplar sentiment or even from <em>actual<\/em> scientific consensus.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhen researching my investigative story \u2018The Tragedy of the \u201cTrans\u201d Child,\u2019 an activist group purporting to be a professional association, the so-called World Professional Association of Transgender Health [WPATH], kept cropping up.
