{"id":15966,"date":"2019-10-16T03:32:56","date_gmt":"2019-10-16T10:32:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/politicalhat.com\/?p=15966"},"modified":"2019-10-16T03:32:56","modified_gmt":"2019-10-16T10:32:56","slug":"the-hydra-of-equity-silent-and-venomous","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2019\/10\/16\/the-hydra-of-equity-silent-and-venomous\/","title":{"rendered":"The Hydra of Equity: Silent and Venomous"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The <em>Modus Operandi<\/em> of the Left consists not of bold and open fighting, or judicial\/executive overreach that succeeds due to the Right meekly acquiescing, but rather of a death of a thousand cuts wherein organizations <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2017\/06\/21\/buggy-whips-of-reason\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">influence and change<\/a>, <em>sub rosa<\/em> of course, the fundamentals upon which society rests, meaning that those aforementioned overreaches or seemingly bold actions is not the fighting, but the victory celebration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;These organizations support and reinforce each other both directly as as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2013\/02\/21\/from-technical-ecstasy-to-i-can-haz-socializm-a-stand-alone-complex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stand alone complexes<\/a>\u201d, giving the illusion of a broad consensus, which is underscored further by a dearth of non-Left wing organizations involved on this level of influence and interaction. Together, <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2013\/03\/01\/the-progressive-hydra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">these groups and organizations form a hydra<\/a>, such that if you bring one down, a plethora of others will spring up while the rest of the extant heads are unaffected, with successes not only in <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2015\/07\/15\/the-inequality-of-equity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">deep-blue cities in deep-blue states<\/a>, but in <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2014\/10\/31\/the-tarheel-hydra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">conservative<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2013\/03\/25\/lone-star-hydra-the-progressive-threat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">states<\/a> and locals as well. This is especially troubling when the real life example of the implementation of the Left\u2019s <em>Eschaton<\/em> <em>Immanentizing<\/em> plan known as \u201cequity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15967\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Greek-Hydra.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Greek-Hydra.jpg 600w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Greek-Hydra-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2016\/09\/28\/equity-vs-essentialism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Equity<\/a>\u201d, as has been described before, is neither equality under the law, equality of opportunity, nor even the equality of results; it is the belief that some people benefit from<em> unearned privilege<\/em> by means of<em> systems of oppression<\/em> that pervade though every aspect of society, and that the only way to achieve true equality, it to not only treat people unequally, but aim for an inequality of outcomes where the designated <em>oppressors<\/em> end up with less in order to compensate from the institutional<em> privilege <\/em>they have from the <em>systems of oppression<\/em> which arises as if it were some mystical miasma of malfeasance to be combated, even to the point of \u201cequity\u201d being seen as integral to <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2013\/02\/20\/gender-democracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201creal\u201d democracy<\/a> since people can not have an \u201cequal\u201d say unless those with <em>institutional privilege<\/em> are handicapped in order to negate the <em>intstitutional power<\/em> they are alleged to have. Such a thing can not be disproven, and thus can be perpetually invoked as a justification.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;An <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/10\/08\/liberal-network-racial-equity-policies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">example<\/a> of such interlocking organizations pushing the perfidious \u201cequity\u201d is presented in The Daily Caller by Luke Rosiak.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2019School board meetings suddenly became like Mad Libs. They started repeating certain phrases, jamming them into every sentence. It was very odd,\u2019 Margaret McCreary, a Fairfax County, Virginia, parent who eventually learned that the board members were using the \u2018equity\u2019 language to push a proposal that could move her children out of their schools, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2019It seemed like they were all in cahoots to do something, but at first we didn\u2019t know what to make of it, because we didn\u2019t know what they were talking about,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cFairfax was one of multiple local governments to pass sweeping changes requiring every policy to be seen through the \u2018lens\u2019 of race. The changes were justified by academic research from the University of Southern California (USC) that was tough for any city or county, rich or poor, to pass up: If they enacted certain policies, they were told, the cities\u2019 economies could gain billions of dollars.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cA group tied to USC called the Program for Environmental and Regional Equity (PERE) functions to create research \u2014 at the behest of funders \u2014 that promises billions of dollars in economic growth. Another set of groups introduce the research to individual cities and counties, where it is used to justify a mandate to include \u2018equity\u2019 in every government policy. The language is often vague and comprised of obscure jargon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThat\u2019s the stage Montgomery County, Maryland, is at now, where an official sympathetic to the movement, Uma Ahluwalia, told The Washington Post: \u2018It\u2019s nice to throw that word, \u201cequity,\u201d around, but what does it mean?\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNext, the government solicits and follows advice from a third set of groups \u2014 often affiliated with the others \u2014 who decode the mandate for them, proposing sometimes-radical policies they say are required to implement it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe network of groups share funders and board members and coordinate closely, creating studies and memos that largely consist of circular references to others within their ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLittle evidence is presented that the actual policy changes will help achieve the promised billion-dollar economic transformation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cInstead, during implementation, the financial rhetoric is swapped out with the justification that the policies are a \u2018best practice.\u2019 That means other cities that have previously intersected with the network have done it. In turn, once that city implements the prescribed changes, it is cited as a precedent to the next city where the equity groups are active, and the cycle repeats \u2014 even if the desired results never materialize.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The full article goes into even greater detail, and ought to be read so that one can familiarize themselves and better prepare themselves to fight this on the state and local level. It is, moreover, important to understand the particulars in order to avoid conspiratorial talk.
