<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"> Carrying on\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5372\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/EaglewithFlag.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"176\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"> Doctor\u2019s are supposed to \u201cfirst do no harm\u201d and refuse to harm a patient even if the patient wishes for it. Doctors in California, now, must put aside their faith in order to validate the sympathetic magic of those who believe that by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/court-rules-catholic-hospital-can-be-sued-for-refusing-transgender-hysterectomy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mutilating their bodies<\/a> they will transform into the opposite sex.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cA Catholic hospital known as Dignity Health refused to perform a hysterectomy on a transgendered male, as against Catholic moral teaching. The patient sued for discrimination, but the case was dismissed on the basis that the hospital was legally following its faith principles. Alas, a Court of Appeals reversed, reinstating the case to the active docket. Why am I not surprised?<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDignity Health\u2019s faith-based policies require that the institution \u201cprotect and preserve the bodily and functional integrity\u201d of patients and that the \u201cfunctional integrity\u201d of the patient \u201cmay only be sacrificed to maintain the health or life of the person when no other morally permissible means is available.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDignity Health also forbids any sterilization procedure, as against Catholic moral teaching. Surgeries that would have that effect are permissible only to cure or alleviate \u201ca present and serious pathology.\u201d Obviously, the hysterectomy would render the transgendered patient sterile.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBut the Court of Appeals ruled that under California law, this can constitute illegal discrimination. From Minton v. Dignity Health:<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2019<i>The pleading alleges that Mercy allows doctors to perform hysterectomies as treatment for other conditions but refused to allow Dr. Dawson to perform the same procedure as treatment for Minton\u2019s gender dysphoria, a condition that is unique to transgender individuals. Denying a procedure as treatment for a condition that affects only transgender persons supports an inference that Dignity Health discriminated against Minton based on his gender identity. This is true even if the denial was pursuant to a facially neutral policy.\u2019<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn other words, a Catholic hospital can potentially be held to account for refusing to violate Catholic dogma by removing a biologically healthy organ \u2014 thereby, sterilizing the patient \u2014 as a \u201ctreatment\u201d for a biologically non-pathological condition.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--> One would expect a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2019\/08\/women-only-rape-relief-shelter-defunded-then-vandalized\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">women-only rape-relief shelter<\/a> to not allow men. Of course, that intention was to help biological females who have been raped by biological males to have a space where they don\u2019t have to feel threatened by males. Of course, oh-so-woke Vancouver believes that transgendering is more important than preventing <i>actual<\/i> rape culture.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis week, staff of the Vancouver Rape Relief and Women\u2019s Shelter (VRRWS) in British Columbia found messages such as \u2018Kill TERFS,\u2019 \u2018F*** TERFS,\u2019 and \u2014 what else? \u2014 \u2018Trans women are women\u2019 scrawled across their windows and walls. (\u2018TERF,\u2019 for \u2018trans-exclusionary radical feminist,\u2019 is a generally derogatory term for feminists who do not believe certain things about transgenderism.) This is not the first time something like this has happened. Three weeks ago, a woman seeking the shelter\u2019s services was alarmed to find a dead rat nailed to the front door.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2019The women who come to our support groups are rape victims and battered women,\u2019 says Hilla Kerner, VRRWS\u2019s spokeswoman, who has worked at the shelter for 14 years. \u2018One of them said to me, \u201cHaven\u2019t we suffered enough?\u201d\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"> Nothing says \u201crape culture\u201d like forcing real women to handle and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/49717\/woman-forced-close-business-after-refusing-wax-amanda-prestigiacomo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wax the scrotum<\/a> of a \u201ctrans-woman\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cA Brazilian immigrant living in Canada was forced to close up her small business after refusing to wax the male genitals of transgender LGBT activist Jessica Yaniv, formerly known as Jonathan Yaniv.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cCiting discrimination based on gender identity, Yaniv filed a complaint with the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal seeking financial restitution. The activist has filed complaints against 15 other estheticians with the tribunal, claiming \u201cgender identity\u201d discrimination, as well, The Daily Wire reported last year.
