on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The focus this time: It&#8217;s just a model&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;First, a little bit of mood music:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/P8ghXxXyAuw\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Carrying on\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5372\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/EaglewithFlag.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"176\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;According to some, not only ancient <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realhistoryww.com\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greece and Rome<\/a> were run by &#8220;persons of color&#8221;, but apparently even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campusreform.org\/?ID=9450\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Medieval Europe<\/a> is portrayed as too White!<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Some Medieval Studies professors are worried that the &#8216;alt-right&#8217; is co-opting the discipline to promote a &#8216;fantasy&#8217; of the Middle Ages with undertones of &#8216;white supremacy.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;&#8216;It should be a really, really important time for the field to reflect on why are these things going on and what can we do to combat that,&#8217; Vassar College professor Dorothy Kim told The Chronicle of Higher Education. &#8216;The worry I would have is that, is the field going to be forever linked to white supremacy?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The article recounts the experience of Vincent W.J. van Gerven Oei, an author and scholar in the area of Medieval studies, during the &#8216;International Medieval Conference&#8217; in England.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;After noticing that all of the speakers presenting a lecture on &#8216;otherness&#8217; in the Mediterranean were white, Oei was further incensed when the moderator joked that he doesn\u2019t look as much like an \u201cold, white man\u201d after vacationing at the beach.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;&#8216;Whether or not he intended it as a joke, it obviously ridicules the entire importance of race in this debate, as if it was merely a matter of lying in the sun,&#8217; Oei said. &#8216;I was thinking I could do two things: Either I can just get up and leave, and it will be very awkward, or I can tweet about this.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Would this new history lesson include the many Christian Whites <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/History_of_slavery_in_the_Muslim_world\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">enslaved<\/a> by Muslim Arabs?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Of course, wokeness isn&#8217;t limited to just Medieval history professors and students, but must also include &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.campusreform.org\/?ID=9550\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">all student residents<\/a>&#8220;:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Oregon State University will pay a new administrator up to $61,500 to push &#8216;diversity education for all student residents&#8217; in university housing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The new &#8216;Assistant Director of Diversity Initiatives and Programs&#8217; will be responsible for creating &#8216;diversity education for all student residents&#8217; while coordinating &#8216;diversity support services.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;According to a job posting for the new position, the successful applicant could be paid up to $61,500 plus benefits, though must have a &#8216;bachelor\u2019s degree in social justice or a related field&#8217; and at least &#8216;five years [of] experiences in diversity and social justice education.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;OSU, notably, is one of at least 232 American universities with a Bias Response Team, according to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), and so the new administrator will also &#8216;serve as a first responder to incidents of bias,&#8217; which can apparently include &#8216;electronic harassment&#8217; and &#8216;graffiti.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;&#8216;Experiencing or witnessing a bias incident can result in physical and emotional trauma,&#8217; the school\u2019s website declares. &#8216;All members of the OSU community who have been impacted by a bias incident are encouraged to report it by submitting a Bias Incident Response Form.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Further, the job posting reveals that &#8216;all student residents&#8217;
