This was <a href=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2016\/12\/28\/queering-the-shirt-redux\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">appealed<\/a> to the Kentucky Court of Appeals based on the idea that a political message is not concomitant with a persons sexual orientation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;That shirt maker has won a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/court-rules-kentucky-print-shop-has-right-to-avoid-making-gay-pride-t-shirts-1494634288\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">victory for free speech<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8973\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Liberty-T-shirt-NAZI.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"307\" height=\"255\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Liberty-T-shirt-NAZI.jpg 307w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Liberty-T-shirt-NAZI-300x249.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 307px) 100vw, 307px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This has already dragged on over many years, and the resources of the allegedly <em>unprivileged<\/em> and <em>dispowered<\/em> are seemingly unlimited, while the resources of a small business owner are very finite, so this is likely far from over in the long run.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Still, a victory for sanity and the 1<sup>st<\/sup> Amendment is worth celebrating.<\/p>\n<p><meta name=\"twitter:card\" content=\"summary\" \/><meta name=\"twitter:site\" content=\"@PoliticHatBlog\" \/><meta name=\"twitter:creator\" content=\"@ThePoliticalHat\" \/><meta name=\"twitter:title\" content=\"Queering The Shirt, Unqueered\"\/><meta name=\"twitter:description\" content=\"A shirt maker who refused to make a shirt with a message that he had qualms was attacked by so-called Kentucky Human Rights Commission because the shirt he refused to print endorsed a doubleplusgood message of queerness.
