{"id":10877,"date":"2016-01-14T01:08:08","date_gmt":"2016-01-14T08:08:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/politicalhat.com\/?p=10877"},"modified":"2016-01-14T01:08:08","modified_gmt":"2016-01-14T08:08:08","slug":"quick-takes-dishonest-words-dishonest-truth-and-dishonest-arrests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/2016\/01\/14\/quick-takes-dishonest-words-dishonest-truth-and-dishonest-arrests\/","title":{"rendered":"Quick Takes &#8211; Dishonest Words, Dishonest Truth, and Dishonest Arrests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Another \u201cquick takes\u201d on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The focus this time: Honesty that is inconvenient is dishonest<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;First, a little mood music:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6A-IoOEPbUs\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Carrying on\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5372\" title=\"Eagle with Flag\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/EaglewithFlag.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"176\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dishonesty begins by denying the very truth of words.\u00a0 Indeed, that is the core rot of it.\u00a0 Hence, <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/victordavishanson\/silly-words-for-silly-people\" target=\"_blank\">silly words by silly people<\/a> advance, for example:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;&#8216;Privilege&#8217;<strong> <\/strong>It certainly no longer means honor or pride (e.g., &#8216;It has been my privilege to know you&#8217;), but has degenerated into a word of disparagement, used mostly with &#8216;white,&#8217; as in &#8216;white privilege.&#8217; And so privilege so often means nothing other than a way for mostly upper-middle-class white kids on campus to feel that they will have fewer problems if they &#8216;check&#8217; their privilege by reeducation-camp-style confessionals. There are perhaps 230 million &#8216;white&#8217; somebodies in the United States. The idea that a guy selling cars in Toledo has some intrinsic edge over Valerie Jarrett, Jorge Ramos, or Beyonc\u00e9 because he is slightly pinker is ridiculous. Don\u2019t take my word for it: when President Obama blasted the &#8216;clingers,&#8217; his subtext was that poor white uneducated and supposedly superstitious people did not and should not enjoy the privilege that he as an Ivy-League, arugula eating, and golf-putting elite enjoyed. Usually &#8216;privilege&#8217; is a preemptory word: if you are wealthy or at least middle class and you do not wish to be assessed on your work and achievement, then you accuse others (usually rivals or superiors) of enjoying insidious &#8216;privilege&#8217; which otherwise explains your own happiness over your perceived lack of parity. Privilege is always asserted, never defined or analyzed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Well, it&#8217;s not like it&#8217;s about anything more than a definition rather that actual facts&#8230; oh, wait&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" title=\"Eagle Divider\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Apparently you can be fired from a college for simply declaring that <a href=\"http:\/\/theothermccain.com\/2015\/11\/17\/college-campus-cop-tells-the-truth-about-rape-culture-and-gets-fired\/\" target=\"_blank\">the truth is the truth<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;&#8216;Chief Golden was quoted in an article in the student paper, The Stallion, about sexual assault on college campuses. The full quotation was: &#8220;I might sound insensitive, but I&#8217;m not. Most of these sexual assaults are women waking up the next morning with a guilt complex. That ain&#8217;t rape, that\u2019s being stupid. When the dust settles, it was all consensual. It [forcible rape] doesn\u2019t happen here. It doesn\u2019t show up here. They\u2019re about as much a rape as a goat roping.&#8221;&#8216;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Chief Golden contested the accuracy of the quotation, but without regard to that issue, is he not allowed to speak on the basis of his own knowledge and experience as a law-enforcement official?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Because reality is determines by the approved narrative&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5371\" title=\"Eagle Divider\" src=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"37\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line.gif 500w, https:\/\/impeachreno.org\/politicalhat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/eag_line-300x22.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;And there must always be an oppressor and an oppressed, even if the &#8220;oppressor&#8221; is an <a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/29\/autistic-man-jailed-for-talking-to-kids\" target=\"_blank\">extremely autistic man<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;A man with autism is being held on $100,000 bail for talking to some children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The man, Daniel Lee, 26, of Wayne, Pennsylvania, spoke to a group of three siblings\u2014ages 8, 9, and 10\u2014last week, asking them about their school and telling them he was on his way to a cabin in the woods.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Shouldn&#8217;t an autistic man talking with <em>anyone<\/em> be considered a good thing?<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;A psychiatric evaluation will be performed on Daniel, and if it\u2019s determined that his parents are not making up their son\u2019s diagnosis, perhaps the charges will be dropped.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;But shouldn\u2019t the charges be dropped for anyone facing such an accusation? Is it really a crime to talk to kids about a cabin in the woods if you never touch or attempt to touch or grab them? Wouldn\u2019t that make it a crime to read \u201cLittle Red Riding Hood\u201d to a kid who isn\u2019t your own?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Daniel\u2019s mom said that she will teach Daniel that what he did was wrong. Who will teach the police that it\u2019s wrong to throw a man in jail when he clearly has special needs and hasn\u2019t done anything more than talk to some neighborhood kids?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;What is being taught is that <em>anyone<\/em> who isn&#8217;t approved by the state to deal with children is evil if they muscle in on the province of the great and holy Leviathan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The only truth, it would seem, is that what Leviathan declares to be so&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;TTFN<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Another \u201cquick takes\u201d on items where there is too little to say to make a complete article, but is still important enough to comment on.
