     We have already seen “thruples” of three persons fight against the duo-normative diarchy, including three women<\/a>, three men<\/a>, and mixed sex triads<\/a>, from the United States to Thailand<\/a>, with political support<\/a> in the United Kingdom.\u00a0 Now legal<\/em> recognition in Brazil<\/a> is coming true… to a degree:<\/p>\n

“The happy trio, who reportedly have shared a bed for years and say they want to raise a child, took an oath of love in early October in the presence of Rio de Janeiro notary public Fernanda de Freitas Leitao.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

     While this isn’t formally recognized as a marriage<\/em>, it is<\/em> a civil union based on a Brazilian Supreme Court ruling authorizing “notary publics to hold civil union ceremonies for gay and lesbian couples.”<\/p>\n

     Their lawyer goes on to explain how this could lead to full “rights” being granted:<\/p>\n

“But the civil union is still a big step, according to the lawyer.<\/p>\n

“‘If they seek these rights before a court, they could obtain them — and I think they will,’ Leitao said.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

     Much how “civil unions” were offered as a compromise in the United States, only later to be used as a justification for legalizing Gay “marriage” across the country, this polyamorous civil union may very well end up smashing the duo-normative diarchy in Brazil.<\/p>\n
